When a family schedules an appointment with OCBC, they can rest assured that they will be seen by a qualified and experienced lactation consultant and they will have access to whatever supplies are needed for their particular need right in the comfort of their own home.

Need more than one feeding observed? This 4-hour appointment in your home is perfect for having multiple feeding or pump sessions observed. Learn soothing and sleep techniques between feedings as well as pump set-up and milk storage and handling.
Does your baby need help transitioning to a bottle because you're going back to work or need a feeding break? Are you struggling with bottle rejection? Curious about when and how to introduce solids? Have a picky eater? I can help answer any concerns related to infant and toddler feeding. I will help you and your little one navigate the wonderful world of food!

I can’t thank Jamie enough for all the support she gave to us during my breastfeeding journeys. With my first baby, he was IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction) and had a difficult time with latching but Jamie guided us on the best way to stay with breastfeeding and make sure our little was getting adequate nutrition. She helped us go back to breast after the doctor had us supplementing with formula. And we continued breast-feeding for 14 months after that.

A lactation consulting appointment with OCBC begins with a friendly consultant at your door and continues with a thorough evaluation of the mother, infant, and feeding session, and ends with education, a plan of care, and a follow-up appointment as needed. Any lactation advice given during a consult is founded on evidence-based research and practice. Each visit is followed by a complimentary phone call to see how things are going.
